A CAN OF LUCKY LAGER

Performance, acrylic paint and papier maché over chicken wire, 2021

"a can of lucky lager" was performed as apart of a mini-residency and performance showcase called "the horizon of being". The event was apart of Mile Zero Dance's RV There Yet series. My performance took place on Sunday, July 11.

Participants were invited to join me in hand-painting papier maché cans of lucky lager that I had constructed in my studio during the weeks leading up to the event. During this time I was painting a larger, human-size can that I would be wearing throughout the performance showcase that evening. As I wandered around in the hot, poorly-constructed suit, I dropped the smaller cans (about 25 of them) around the venue.
